Before IHOP went IHOB and every brand got in on National Cheese Day, Skype paved the way on Twitter with a reactionary daily newsroom.
Every single day a small team of us scoured the internet for the days trending topics and provided a take from the Skype perspective. At the time the internet, Twitter especially was a lot more lighthearted, hashtags took off like wildfire, and everyone was contributing. The process was fast and furious, quickly finding our angle, getting client sign off, creating, and then a final client approval before posting by 1PM Pacific time. We often got great engagement, and some even reached a viral level themselves.
